Melisa Swapp, ACMHC

I believe meaningful change begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. My approach to counseling is grounded in creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly. Together, we work to better understand who you are, how you connect to the world around you, and how you can move toward becoming your most authentic self.

Using a strengths-based perspective, I focus on helping you recognize and build upon the qualities and abilities you already possess. I believe each person holds the capacity for growth, and through collaboration we can deepen emotional awareness, identify patterns, and develop practical tools that support resilience, connection, and lasting change. Whether you are navigating challenges, seeking clarity, or working toward personal goals, our work will center on empowering you to move forward with greater confidence and self-understanding.

With over ten years of experience in special education, working closely with both individuals and groups navigating behavioral and complex mental health challenges, I bring both professional knowledge and genuine empathy to the therapeutic process. I strive to meet each client where they are, honoring their lived experiences while supporting growth in a way that feels authentic, meaningful, and aligned with their values.
